-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Suggestions +---Topic: move function started by preppen Posted by: preppen on May 20 2007,08:39 Hi... I like to have a function that moves my music to a pre set dir in mp3 tag studio. I have all my music under folders named by the ARTIST, and under that I use folder named YEAR - ALBUM and if I need I seperate discs with a folder called DISC 1, DISC 2 a.s.o... When I tag my music I can rename all music just the way I want it, but! It always place the new named file in a directori where the mp3 file were put from the start. That means I might have an mp3 file in this dir: MP3 \Ronan Keating albums \ronan_keating-turn_it_on-2003-mvp \turn it on again.mp3 after rename: MP3 \Ronan Keating albums \ronan_keating-turn_it_on-2003-mvp \turn it on again.mp3 \Ronan Keating \2003 - Turn It on \turn it on again.mp3 this means I have to move the folder after rename manually and delete old dir. Some of this cut and paste work could be redused if there was a "move" function built in, I guess it would be a good thing to have that functuion to be set on / off with a checkbox in the main window, but the dir could be set i settings. If I have any covers inside the folder it would follow the mp3 music in the move of course... hope for a good answer... by the way... thx for a good software... I been using it for about 5 years now and never even thought about change tag software.
