I have been using Mp3TS for years and love it as part my mp3 normalizing naming convention.
Could Mp3TS be modified to rename folders as well? I also use Mp3TS to rename files other than .mp3s and it works great!! It would be great if I could also rename folders.I have found other programs that allow you to rename files as well as folders (Metamorphose) but they require the use of regexps.
Not that I'm unwilling to learn, but frankly I would rather not have to learn regexps and Mp3TS is easy to use. Having five identifiers "Title, Artist, Album, Year, Track #" to use between seperators gives plenty of flexibility with renaming creativity. If I could just have the same flexibility in renaimg folders... 
Seems like it would be useful for Mp3s as well. Maybe you want to swap Author and Album name in your folder structure, or add the year so you could then sort by year...
Or maybe someone would like to fill in the regexp that would allow me to change
<Text 1> - <Text 2> <Text 3> - <Text 4>
to
<Text 3> <Text 2> - <Text 1> - <Text 4>

Thanx for the quick reply, but I have other file formats in the directory other than mp3 and thus no tag. In fact some of the directories have no mp3s at all.
The file rename functionality works great on any type of file, I was hoping for a directory rename function option that was not dependent on the tags of mp3s in the directory.
Additionally if you did have other types of files in the directory such as album art, playlists etc, just the directory rename capability would be useful.
Mp3/Tag Studio is still just as awesome as it ever was. Just like to be able to rename directories just like we can direct rename files.

I also would like a folder rename tool
for example - something that would be able to take
Misfit-Fatal_Reaction-2001-RAGEMP3
and rename to misfit\fatal reaction
based on the setup of the original folder
In this instance I would not want to rename any files
just the folder

I finally needed the ability to rename directories based on tags.
