Topic: An ideal image/file handling pairing, You should collaborate with Irfanview< Next Oldest | Next Newest >

I've just been requesting the author of Irfanview, Irfan Skiljan,

www.irfanview.com

to provide tools for batch settings of the EXIF and IPTC data fields in .jpg and .tiff image files.  It occurs to me that he would have the expertise to add image handling to your program, while the manipulation of the image fields is an almost exact parallel with your handling of mp3 tags.

In the best of all possible worlds, you would have his image handling facilities for image tags, and he would have your incomparable batch processing tools (in particular setting fields from lists) for the data fields in the image files.

Is there any way I can encourage a exchange of technology here?

Cyril,
Thanks for the input.
Magnus is away on holiday until the 11th of August, and I'm sure he will reply to your suggestion then.

Thanks for the idea Cyril, support for other file types than mp3 files have been considered before, but each time it has sadly been concluded that there is too much work involved to be currently possible for me.

About image handling technology inserted into Mp3/Tag Studio, there isn't really much necessary things to add except viewing of the images (in respect to editing the images themselves I mean), and since my main philosophy is to keep the application as non-bloated as possible I wouldn't want to include advanced image editing possibilities at this point.

But I appreciate your idea, it's a good one if you don't consider the above. Thanks.
