-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Support and Bug Reports +---Topic: Unable to rename using shell started by Greg Posted by: Greg on Jan. 18 2004,22:13 I'm unable to use the "rename from tag" or "tag from name" options in the shell extention. They show up when I right click on an mp3 file but if I click on rename to format <artist> <title> etc. (or any other one) it won't rename the file. It looks like it's doing something but nothing changes. I upgraded from 3.01 to 3.05 and I think that when It was unable to rename the files anymore. It worked fine before and I used it often. Very handy feature. Posted by: Magnus Brading on Jan. 19 2004,00:29 Sounds very strange. Did anyone else experience this? Please tell me if you find any more info about the reason for this. Currently there's not much I can do since I cannot reproduce it. Posted by: hyper on Jan. 20 2004,22:33 same here. used to work even after upgrade to 3.05. stopped at some point. now it just doesnt do anything when chosing those options from right-click menu. Posted by: Magnus Brading on Jan. 20 2004,23:43 Ok, I will look into this as hard as possible for the next release, thanks for the reports. Posted by: Greg on Feb. 01 2004,07:23 I think i found the problem.... I had checked off the "use filter for the operations below - process only files without any tag" I didn't notice that i changed it one day and forgot to change it back.... maybe it should return to default after reboot.. to avoid people like me from accidentally changing it.... and not returning it to what it was. just a sugestion, you might know of a better way around it. thanks for looking in to it though. Posted by: Magnus Brading on Feb. 01 2004,12:50 Ah, thanks for the info Greg! I'll see what I can do. end |
