-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Support and Bug Reports +---Topic: Lyrics3 v2.0 Tag problem and solution started by Osmium Posted by: Osmium on Nov. 22 2006,23:45 Hi, Magnus! I posted here my question about strange undeletable ID3v2 Album Tag a few weeks ago and now can't find this post. You don't give me the answer and I find it myself. So ok, my mp3 player (currently Winamp v5.32) see this annoying tag. I open this mp3-file in text editor and this piece of junk at the end of file between 'LYRICSBEGIN' and 'LYRICS200' strings. Well i found that it's < Lyrics3 Tag v2.00 > and what we see? 'EAL00030This is an extended Album Name' - yep! Then i found solution with freeware program Mp3tag in < this forum >, check the message of user ara-fat32. This solution works fine for me. And now I ask the author of the Mp3/Tag Studio: how to do that in your program? Cause you product is shareware! Posted by: Magnus Brading on Nov. 23 2006,07:52 Hi Osmium, here is your original thread (sorry for making it unavailable for a while, it was involved in another moderation action lately): < http://www.magnusbrading.com/cgi-bin....;t=1364 > I'm glad you found the problem. LYRICS tags is an old tag format that was invented before ID3v2 tags, and then practically replaced by them, so Mp3/Tag Studio currently doesn't support these tags. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "Cause you product is shareware!"? Posted by: Osmium on Nov. 25 2006,16:28 Well, you wrote "Mp3/Tag Studio currently doesn't support these tags", but what about future versions? I need only checkbox that allow delete them completely or it will be better as additional ID3v2 tag field in Mass set tags/flags. So what do you say? And aboute my phrase "Cause you product is shareware!". I just wanna to say that shareware product must be better than freeware such as Mp3tag Btw, i found in Winamp default input plugin im_mp3.dll interesting option. Check Configure -> Title/Tags -> Read Lyrics3. end |
