I am trying to convert a 701k htm file previously created with bookmark converter (I think) back to IE favorites and all I get is one huge list of url files which no longer have any folders.

I also get the error message:
"Inconsistency in folder levels, bookmarks might end up in wrong folders!"

It doesn't matter which conversion format I choose in the 'from' box - I always get the same output. There's over 4000 favorites.

Any suggestions?

That error message indicates that your bookmark file might be corrupted, which would then be the cause of the problem.

Also, which version of Bookmark Converter are you using?

It's V3.2

The output file was a .htm from favorites, but I can't get it back into favorites again although all the folders are indicated in the 701k htm file.

Folder level inconsistency problems are usually quite hard to spot when viewing the htm file manually, but they are most likely there though since BMC reports them. There has never been any problems reported with false alarms for this error message at least.

Have you tried it on another computer btw, just to rule out local problems of different sorts?
