I have a bunch of songs (lectures actually) that have really long titles, most of which are repetitive (e.g., "UNIT 1. Blah blah blah 1. Example 1" & "UNIT 1. Blah blah blah 1. Example 2").

The problem is that I can't tell the difference between many of the tracks on my player because the screen's so narrow.

I want to replace some repeated words with abbreviations so the files are easier to read.

Can MST 3.05 perform search & replace functions inside title attributes?

Sure, simply use the "Direct tag manipulation" tool, and perform the replacements with the "Case fix and replace" utility in it.
