It would be very nice to be able to specify a maximum length of a filename when doing mass renames. The program could then simply cut off the name at that length, if it is longer.

Rationale: My mp3 jukebox (iRiver) does not index the tag information for files that have a filename longer than 52 characters. Using the suggested feature would assure that all mp3's can still be indexed by the player, when doing renames.

File > Settings> General Tagging and renaming > Truncate created filenames to length... does not work for your situation, or had you not seen it?
