-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Suggestions +---Topic: Maximum length for filenames started by gjxl Posted by: gjxl on Sep. 14 2004,21:17 It would be very nice to be able to specify a maximum length of a filename when doing mass renames. The program could then simply cut off the name at that length, if it is longer. Rationale: My mp3 jukebox (iRiver) does not index the tag information for files that have a filename longer than 52 characters. Using the suggested feature would assure that all mp3's can still be indexed by the player, when doing renames.
