-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Suggestions +---Topic: Suggestion started by J.Loewner Posted by: J.Loewner on Aug. 19 2005,09:48 Would be great if I could all my mp3 files move and rename to a certain target dir and target structure from a dir and it's subdirs as an option! i.e. having a dir with several subdirs of many artist albums tag file-rename to: <targetdir><Artist><\><Year><\><Album> - <TrackNr> - <Title>.mp3 Emtpy fields automatically replaced by unknown or n/a or even better a user specified text. This would be a nice way to create a standardized file structure and place where the files are located! J.Loewner Posted by: Magnus Brading on Aug. 19 2005,10:49 And that's why I implemented the absolute path mode. Use the following template in the auto rename tool (advanced mode template): c:\mymp3files<\><Artist><\><Year><\><Album> - <TrackNr> - <Title>.mp3 And it will be done in seconds. About replacing empty fields, simply use the mass set tool in combination with the filter, and it will be done in seconds too. If you also create a macro for it you can have the functionality accessible at the click of a single button at any later time. Any questions? end |
