First, I want to say thanks for a great program.

Unfortunately, as of yesterday I've been unable to do anything with it.  I tagged over 1500 MP3s with this thing no problem, then I got down to a Guns N Roses song, and all hell broke loose.

My original problem sounded like this one: http://www.magnusbrading.com/cgi-bin....1;t=969

I tried isolating each and every song, but that did nothing.  I tried to do new songs, and other ones I already tagged before, but still no change.  My original errors were all registry-looking numbers in {} style until I tried installing the update, then it became "Out of Memory".

Then, on top of that, now I'm getting registry-looking errors upon install, and when right-clicking an MP3.  When I install or right-click I get tons of pop-ups with registry strings under an "Internal Error 2908".

You can see the errors here:

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I'm getting like 18 of these errors in a row when installing.  I get about 6 of them when I right-click music files.

Also forgot to mention that this was initially on 3.0, then I installed 3.05 and it continued, and same with 3.5 + beta 16.

STRANGE!

I uninstalled all 3 versions of the program, wiped all registry entries for it, and it still screwed up on install (after like the 5th time of me removing/installing and getting the same results).  After the install, still getting the errors, and getting errors when right-clicking as well.

SOMEHOW, I fixed it... Here's what I did:
I unchecked the right-click association in the settings.  That solved the right-click issue temperarily.  Then, I decided to take a batch of MP3s from my first tagging session (from when I first installed the program months ago) and put them in a new folder.  I ran those MP3s through each tab of the tagger, and no errors.  Then I re-enabled the right-click association and ran the "bad" MP3s though the program, and now there are no errors...as if nothing was ever wrong.

Weird indeed.  :p

Strange indeed. It sounds like some kind of shell extension registration error or similar, but I cannot tell for sure.

I'm glad it worked out anyway. :)
