Recently, on a few occasion, when I used the Explorer browse tree to switch working directories, the change, while shown in the browse tree does not appear in the Working Directory window, nor in the set of files effected by operations.  Fortunately, I have always caught the error before saying "looks good, do it", but I fear for a missed case.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to detect any pattern to this behaviour.  The only clue is seeing the wrong files in the Browse/Edit display, or in seeing the wrong information in one of the preview windows.

I just had to reinstall WinXP and all my programs, and moved things around.  The mp3 files are now residing on a 500 GB internal HD.  Is there some possible problem with that?

I cannot foresee any problem with your harddisk setup, so if you have any other clues about how to reproduce this, please submit them here. I have never heard about such a problem before, so it is strange indeed.
