-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Suggestions +---Topic: Include subdirectories in the file repair tools started by C Man Posted by: C Man on July 21 2005,22:22 In the name & tag tools you can activate the 'include subdirs' option and tag all your files at once, but I don't see this option in the file repair tools - you have to go to each directory individually and process it, and that's a huge pain when you have lots of directories. I can't be the only one frustrated by this, am I? Or am I the only one who hasn't figured out how to include the subdirectories when checking for file errors? Posted by: noddy on July 21 2005,23:45 Magnus addressed this in another thread a while back. It's deliberately not available in the file repair tools so that you can't accidently run the repair tool across files that don't need it. I'm sure he'll pop in and explain further. ![]() Posted by: Magnus Brading on July 22 2005,11:01 Yep. ![]() < http://www.magnusbrading.com/cgi-bin....2;t=129 > Posted by: C Man on July 22 2005,18:24 Thanks for the link to that thread. I DID search first before I posted my question, but I searched for 'subfolders' and didn't come up with anything. I agree with the posters who said that if people screw up their MP3 collections despite the warnings then tough luck... but the workaround solution of temporarily renaming the files you posted sounds like it will work just fine so I'll give that a go. Thanks. end |
