Magnus,

I've used your software for a long long time, in fact i just found a copy of the install for 1.17.  and i WILL continue to use it proudly.  However my favorite feature still doesnt work.  I was wondernig if you've had time to tinker with the shell / context menus work for vista and/or a newer version of the app to be a bit more stable with vista?

I realize honestly how hard it can be to undertake a project that isnt really churning out alot of money ( or maybe it is i dont know ) so i offer these kind words of encouragement and request if you are going to discontinue this project due to financial reasons you give us a heads up, i bet you'd be suprised how many of us would be willing to make some significant donations to pull the community and its software back together.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the encouraging words.

When it comes to 64 bit Vista, there is a very big problem of me not having a 64 bit machine to work on. The shell extension most likely doesn't work in Vista 64 because it needs to be using 64 bit code (since the shell extension is a DLL/ActiveX object loaded into the process space of Explorer.exe itself, contrary to the Mp3/Tag Studio application itself, which is a standalone application), and in that case the next problem is that I don't have a way of compiling my code into a 64 bit binary.

As you say, I don't make a lot of money at all on this, so the prices of a 64 bit computer, a 64 bit compiler license and a Vista 64 bit operating system are much more than I will make in many years for this program. Thus, I'm not completely sure that I will be able to move it fully into the 64 bit era at all. As long as 32 bit Windows programs are supported though (as is the case in Vista 64 bit too, just not for shell extensions), I will indeed do my best to make sure it works in future operating systems too.
end
