-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Support and Bug Reports +---Topic: MP3-Itunes - Album Information started by Paladin Posted by: Paladin on Nov. 28 2006,03:59 I have a directory with 100 mp3s and when I import them into iTunes over half don't bring in the Album info. When I look at the songs in MP3Tag Studio it clearly shows the album info for all the songs. Why isn't iTunes seeing this and how do I use MP3Tag Studio to fix this issue. It's seeing the correct information just not iTunes. Very frustrating! Posted by: Magnus Brading on Nov. 28 2006,10:52 Hmm, sounds like a strange iTunes problem, but you could always try to rewrite the tags with Mp3/Tag Studio, to make sure they are completely standards compliant (and that the ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags are synced), and then try to import them in iTunes again, that might work. Posted by: Paladin on Nov. 29 2006,00:03 I'm assuming there is an easy way to do this with your software!? Posted by: Magnus Brading on Nov. 29 2006,00:37 Sure, e.g. touch some field in the browse tool (e.g. add a space and then immediately remove it) and then write the tag to the file. For a more automated procedure, use e.g. the direct tag manipulation tool to write: <Artist> ---> <Artist> Posted by: Paladin on Nov. 29 2006,02:37 Thank you for all your help. One other question. If the file is flagged as read-only, archive, can the tagger change the tag information? And if so will it change the date of the file? Posted by: Magnus Brading on Nov. 29 2006,12:49 File system attributes should be no problem, and the file dates will still be treated according to your global setting for this in Mp3/Tag Studio. end |
