hi! someone please help me. when i try to tag abot 10 files at a time (i.e. with mass set tags) i get this errormessage I/O 112 and the song still exists but with 0 mb. so just the file is there but just the name and icon. it is obviously very dissapointing when this happens. it happens not every time but maybe every third time and the song is gone... someone ones what's wrong with it? (windows 2000pro, mp3/tag studio 3.05). thanks in advance. michi.

According to your description of the problem, your harddisk is full, and it also has an error in its free-space data.

Be very careful with tagging any more files until this is fixed, because the files can be corrupted, like you describe!

Hi!
Same problem as above
Same solution :)

With that problem solved mp3TS is the best tagging program in my opinion.

Thank you mr. Magnus

(btw...If i'm tagging a directory of mp3s sized at let's say 700 mb, approximately how much free space do I need on the partition?)

I'm glad you like the program.
You don't need any extra free space to tag such large files with ID3v1 tags (ok, actually you need 128 bytes, but anyway :)). If you want to tag such large files with ID3v2 tags though, and they have no prior ID3v2 tags, there might sadly be some problems. This is because right now such files are buffered in memory before they're tagged. :( Anyway, when speaking only about the diskspace issue, you should never need more free disk space than the size of the file you're tagging.
