After downloading mp3ts 3.05 and trying to mass clean up some mp3 tags i immediatly encountered the "out of memory" bug. As suggested in earlier posts, i tried to isolate the mp3 that caused the trouble. This appeared harder than i thought, but after browsing and editing every single mp3 i found the trouble-maker: an mp3 that contained an ID3v1-tag, but no ID3v2-tag.

Trying to make or edit the ID3v2-tag proved impossible, because the fields just turned blank again after writing the changes. Trying to delete or clean up the file trough 'mass clean' results in the "out of memory" message and the program crashes.

What am i to do?

Sounds strange, please email this mp3 file to me, and I will analyze the problem.

Normally, as above, this error message is due to files with heavily corrupted ID3v2 tags. What was peculiar with the case above was the claim that the offending mp3 file did not contain an ID3v2 tag at all.

Is this the case for you too? In that case, please send me the offending mp3 file and I will analyze it. Otherwise, simply track down the offending file and remove+rewrite its ID3v2 tag, and everything will be fine.
