I just have a couple suggestions.  First, I was using the "case fix and replace" option, but I was unable to have names such as "REM" or "P.O.D." remain all caps.  Instead, they were translated to "Rem" or "P.o.d."  Secondly, it would be nice to have a button in the "Browse & Edit tags/flags" so that you could synch up ID3v1 and ID3v2 without having to make any other changes first (before the "write changes" button becomes enabled).  Finally, I often wish I could rename a folder from the explore window in a similar fashion to how it is done in windows explorer (click once then click again on name, or press F2).

For now, go into the "Case Fix and Replace" setup (accessible from "Mass Set Tags" tab and others), and select the "substring replacements" tab. Example:
Replace: rem
With: REM
Apply after casefix
I put spaces before and after these strings, so they don't get capitalized when they are parts of words - 'remember' for example.
In the future, I think MP3 Tag Studio may have an "always capitalize" list. Magnus will be able to answer that.

To capitalize all strings of the type "A.B.C.D", simply add period (".") to the "Compounding atoms" list.

The "REM" string is clearly a special case, so the method suggested by Disposable Hero would be the correct one.

And I don't think a "capitalize" word list would be necessary, since that is exactly what the string replacements are there for, special case words of different kinds. Just the same anyway.

To fast-sync tags from the browse tool, simply set up the "Direct tag manipulation" tool for the desired operation, and it can then be directly accessed from the right-click menu of the browse tool (or with the corresponding hot-key "ctrl-m").
