-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Support and Bug Reports +---Topic: Can I set multi-line comments from Mass setting? started by calberga Posted by: calberga on July 23 2006,20:46 Isn't it nice to find messages when you get home after a nice vacation? Probably a dumb question, but I searched unsuccessfuly. How do I use Mass set tags to add a second line to a (currently) one line comment tag? First, I tried entering the line-break as CTL-ENTER, but that just acted as if I had clicked on Execute! Then I constructed a two line comment and did a cut-and-paste including the line-break, but the new text was simply appended to the right of the existing first line. [I did have the correct radio-button pressed.] So, can it be done? If so, how? If not, why not? Posted by: Magnus Brading on July 28 2006,11:42 Thanks for the warm welcome from the vacation calberga... ![]() First of all, you can use a normal "Enter" keypress to enter a new line in the comment box in the mass set tool (this inconsistency between the browse tool and the mass set tool is due to hot-key collisions with the write/execute functions in the respective tools). Second of all, I just performed your desired operation successfully, by simply (in the mass set tool) appending a comment, starting with an empty line, and then further containing the lines I wanted to append, which would be the logic way to do it? Please give more details if it still won't work for you. ![]() Posted by: calberga on July 28 2006,14:30 Welcome home, and thank you. I was being to clever for my own good, trying CTL-Enter, SFT-Enter, etc., and never just plain Enter! end |
