Hmm, if the program does not exit correctly (i.e. crash, or exit with an error message), the current settings won't be saved, but otherwise it is supposed to work. If you press cancel instead of ok in the case-fix dialog after changing the strings, they are restored to the previous state, but I guess that goes without saying.
If you can give me a description of how to reproduce this problem, I will take a closer look at it anyway.
