Ok people, after an all too long wait (sorry about that), here is finally the first beta of Mp3/Tag Studio 3.5!
This is mostly a feature upgrade, and even though several important bugs have been fixed too, I have concentrated on the features. But don't despair, before the final version is released, I will fix a bunch of more bugs and add some other new features too.
The really big news is the macro capability (and its powerful combination with the new command-line support). Please test out the macros as much as you can, I promise, once you get used to them you'll never understand how you could live without them. You can do ALL your tagging and renaming, no matter how complex the operations are, in just a single mouse click now!
Here is a summary of what's new in this version (beta):
* Added powerful macro capabilities! Arbitrarily complex operations can now be recorded into a macro, and then from that point on be available at the click of a button!
* Added powerful command-line support! Practically all program functionality can now be accessed directly from the command-line, making it possible to fully control Mp3/Tag Studio from any other application or script!
* Fixed an incompatibility issue with Windows XP Service Pack 2, it should now work fine with this new service pack too.
* Fixed a problem that could cause the program to seemingly halt, or go extremely slow when tagging certain mp3 files containing large ID3v2 tags.
* Fixed a bug that under certain conditions could cause a parsing error in the direct rename tool while using absolute path mode.
* Fixed a bug that under certain conditions could cause a crash in the browse tool when editing more than one file that only had an ID3v1 tag.
* Fixed a bug that under certain conditions did not correctly reset the list creation tool GUI after usage.
* Fixed a bunch of other small bugs too.
Please let me know what you think about the new features, especially the macros!
You are also VERY welcome to report any bugs or problems you may find, here in the forum.
Enjoy!
