I just started using your cool software and wanted to undo an "Auto tag (From Filenames)". and am getting a "I/O Error 1784". Do you know what could be causing this.  I am running with the latest patch.

Thanks,
Tom

That's weird. I think 1784 is an ATA block write error. I don't understand why that would occur on the undo though...
Hopefully Magnus can shed some light on this.

No other problems related to your hard drive (s) in other software? Occurs only when using the undo function? The files are definitely not read-only?

I checked for read only files, and made sure there are none.  I still get the error.

I agree with Disposable Hero, this sounds very strange and is most likely related to hardware and setup issues, that's all I can say. :(

Magnus - what happens if there are sync errors or other corruption in an MP3 being processed (tagging, not fixing)? I know this is a longshot, but it seems strange if this type of error does not occur elsewhere.

Tom Kuhn - if I got IO errors on my hard drive, I would check my cables and run some drive-checking software. chkdsk at least... on most Windows systems you should be able to right-click the drive in Windows Explorer, click Tools, then Check Drive For Errors. It might take a while, but it's frequently better to be on the safe side.

Sync errors and all kinds of other data format errors in the mp3 file would be detected on a much later stage than during the read from disk, and would never generate operating system errors like this, so it really shouldn't be anything like that. I would only guess hardware/setup/operating system malfunction.
