I don't understand where you see the connection between 0xc6 and 175? Please explain further. Posted by: aaduke on Sep. 21 2005,14:04 ![]() i needed to enter an "Æ" (latin capital ligature AE). so i launched charmap and looked up its alt-code 0175. for my surprise when i entered that in mp3ts i got a "¯" (macron aka overline) instead ![]() Posted by: Magnus Brading on Sep. 21 2005,14:14 Ok, I see. But I get the same behavior in for example Microsoft Notepad, and any other Windows program I try? It's Windows standard to behave this way, so I cannot understand how you can classify this as a "bug"? Posted by: aaduke on Sep. 21 2005,14:28 hmmm.. i _did_ try this also in notepad wordpad etc and i did not notice anything like this. Posted by: Magnus Brading on Sep. 21 2005,16:00 What version and language localization of Windows do you have? Mp3/Tag Studio behaves just like all other programs in the English version of Windows. Posted by: aaduke on Sep. 21 2005,22:56 3.5beta16 on english xp pro sp2, 3 machines and i've tried to play around with various regional settings as well. just installed on a 32bit english w2k3 sp1 machine and it seems to behave correctly on that. ![]() Posted by: Jens on Oct. 22 2005,14:05 Sometimes I do have same issues like Aadu discribed. But since it happens not so frequently that I need proper unicode handling I can live with it and use foobar2000 or winamp as alternatives end |
