Sorry for my level of ignorance but I have a very superficial understanding of mp3's tags etc. For the last year I have been downloading mp3's from music blogs such as Dilated Choonz, Locust Street etc. I then burn them on Windows Media Player 11 & then export the tracklisting to excel. Unfortunately my PC crashed at the weekend & I lost everything on my hard drive. I have a large backlog of CD's I hadn't had time to export to excel & when I went in yesterday I found that instead of listing the artist/track as before all I get now is Track 1, Track 2 etc. Is there any way of recovering the track info. so that I or do you need the track on your hard drive to make the association.

I'm not sure what you mean, didn't you lose the mp3 files on the crashed disk? What are you then trying to read the artist/title from?
