When I installed beta 5, it created the directory structure "C:\ARKIV\DELPHI 5\BM_CONV_NEW\backupdata" with no files in it.

The directory I selected for installation was "C:\Program\Internet\Bookmark Converter 3.0" and it installed fine in that directory.

Thanks, it's fixed now (available in the next beta (7), released soon).

Yes, I've noticed this directory too, but it didn't bother me that it was there. I assume I can delete it. While I see the same directory on my home pc (Win XP) at the c:\ level as Flyby mentions, the direcory is not there on my work pc (Win 2000) and exist in its proper install directory. Since you said you fixed it, then you probably know this already. For those who dont know of the directory, will the install script for beta 7 check for the existance of the directory and automatically clean it up?

No, it will not be cleaned up by the new installer, but if you have the latest beta you can simply delete it yourself. Actually, it was not the installer that created the directory either, but it was the default data-file that had some old values left in it, which in turn caused that directory to be created when the program was executed sometimes.
