One of the best things I liked about the rename tool in the older MP3TS version is that if I set it to rename files as so:
<Artist></><Album> [<Bitrate>]</><TrackNr>-<Title>

it would churn out directories like
Bob Dylan/Time Out of Mind [VBR]/

for my VBR-encoded albums. But now using the same renaming criteria makes a bunch of folders like

Bob Dylan/Time Out of Mind [VBR (~207)]/
Bob Dylan/Time Out of Mind [VBR (~242)]/ and so on...

I couldn't figure out how to enable the "old-style" VBR renaming theme, if there is any way to do so at all. I want all of my tracks in the same album folder! Help?

Thanks for a great tool, BTW.

Are you expecting the letters "VBR" to be in the directory name or just the same bitrate number?  Sounds like Magnus made an improvement that allows Tag Studio to rename with the number, rather than the type of bitrate encoding.

Ok, I understand your problem. That number is the average bitrate of the current VBR file by the way. I'll probably make an option for it in a future update then, thanks for the tip.

Until then, I you can insert "VBR" manually into the template for all albums that have VBR files. Simply save a separate template for this, and use the old template for all the other albums.
