Sorry this is probably off-off-topic, but "how do i" is read only!

...but i do not know if, or how Mp3 Tag Studio can acomplish this task.

Problem: i have some Mp3 which have only an IDv1 Tag

1. first i need to filter them

2. create an IDv2 Tag (the file should have both IDv1 and IDv2)

3. copy the fields from IDv1 to IDv2

At the moment i have not found any software which can do the 2. task. If Mp3 Tag Studio can not do it and you know another one - tell me!

Of course it can. :)

Simply use the "Direct tag manipulation" tool with any filter you like and the preset "v1 -> v2 conversion".

Bam, done.

Are you using version 3.5 (beta) of Mp3/Tag Studio? Otherwise you cannot record macros, but as soon as you got this version, simply open the help file index and type "macros" and you will get all the help you need. :)
