I was wondering if your software contains the ability to log the changes you make to an mp3?

For instance, I start with a folder of messy mp3's.  Then I make all the file-name & tagging
changes to get the finished, clean mp3's. Is there any way I can make a log the changes made to
each file, and save that log?

That log file could then be re-used at a later date (a different location, for instance) and with
the same original mp3 files, automatically read the log file to make the same changes. (Instead of
having to do it manually).

(I have lots of CD-R's with mp3's on them as backup. Unfortunately, your fine product was not
available back in 1998 when I first burned some of these. When I load these mp3's back onto my
machine after a new Windows install, I end up with the original messy mp3's, and have to either
live with it, or rename and tag the mp3's again. My only other option is to reburn a LOT of
CD-R's)

Thanks!

Sure, simply export all the tag data you want with the "Create custom lists" tool (in the file tools toolset), and you can then re-import this info to the tags of the same files with the "Tag/rename from list" tool at any later time.

You can also use the same technique for renaming the files if you have modified their names too.
