I realize Tag Studio was written for MP3's, but with the prevalence of PVR's (SageTV, MythTV, Meedio, etc.), does anyone know of an equivalent program? I know that AVIs and MKVs don't have ID3 tags or anything similar, but I'd love to be able to use fuzzy logic on existing filenames to properly rename the files, pull DVD covers, add custom text files with relevant data, etc. Let's face it, we get our media from many places and the naming conventions are rarely the same. For example, let's say I have a file named "Law.And.Order.SVU.S08E01.HDTV.XviD-LOL.avi". What I'd like to have a program do is recognize the name of the show according to a macro I define (i.e. Law.And.Order.SVU or L&O.SVU), recognize the season and episode (season 08, episode 01) and rename it properly according to my own specifications. Then, pull down a DVD cover from an online database and save it in the folder with the file, naming it accordingly. Additionally, I'd like to see a text file generated that fills in episode info, genre, year, cast, etc. I would define what each of these fields should look like (i.e. GENRE, YEAR, SUMMARY, etc.) and any required separators (i.e. GENRE=[data pulled from online database], etc.). This text file would then be placed in the same folder as the DVD cover. I don't think anything like what I described already exists for anything other than ripped DVDs (I'd like to find out I'm wrong, though! Anyone else? Posted by: Magnus Brading on Sep. 05 2008,15:12 Hehe, if I only had the time... And sorry about the "bad word" filter, it left there since a spam wave before, I really should deactivate it for now. end |
