Hi!
First, I'd like to say, it's great to finally see a forum up and running. :)

For the suggestion....
The new "File Tools" -> "Search mp3" is great! But, would it be possible to have functions there, to move, or even delete files? It would make organizing easier for me, at least. :)

Anyways, just a suggestion tho.. ;)

Love the changes made in 3.0! Keep up the great work! :)

Best regards,
Fredrik

The search tool is meant to be unable to modify files in any way, so that you can feel completely safe running it.

After you see which files will be affected by a certain filter setting by using the search tool, you then use the same filter settings to accomplish the desired function in any of the other tools.

In your case, you should use the "Auto rename" tool in absolute path mode to do what you want.

This is an example of an advanced mode template that will move any files that pass the filter to the directory C:\temp

---------------------CODE SAMPLE-------------------
C:\temp<\><OldFileName>
---------------------CODE SAMPLE-------------------

This tool used to be named "Auto rename and organize mp3s" before, but it was too long to fit into the interface now. :)

Anyway, the auto rename tool can always be used to automatically move and sort files into complex directory structures. You can read more about this in the help file.

Tried that, didn't work. :)
Or rather, a specific combination did not work. I went to "search mp3", and used one of the filter presets (Process only files without any tag). The program searched through a directory containing about 990 files. It made a nice little list of the files, not containing any tags. I then proceeded to the "Auto rename" section. Wrote in the output filename format: e:\Notags<\><OldFileName>. MP3/Tagstudio proceeded to search through the files, and in the errors window, it stated many files did not contain an ID3 tag. No files were moved to the target directory. Seems like it only does this, when you want to filter out the files with no tags, and move them to a different location. Only way (I figured) around this, was to "negate" the filter, and move all the files containing an ID3 tag, leaving the files with no tags back...

Ah, a little bug!  :p

Thanks for finding this, it will be fixed in the next bugfix update (1-2 weeks).

Thanks!
