Help!!  mp3ts is great, however I've run into a bit of a problem.  I ran the VBR header fix tool on my entire collection of mp3s and it worked like a charm.  It did a great job of fixing all my faulty headers.  *However* - it also added a "T" or "C" character at the end of each and every tag field (even for non-VBR files, which it shouldn't have touched anyway).  For example, a file that had tags "Artist", "Album", "Year", "Genre", etc. now has tags that read "ArtistT", "AlbumT", "YearT", GenreT", etc..  Any suggestions on how I can fix this withing mp3Tag studio?  I thought I could perhaps create a macro to delete the last character of each field, but the macro I recorded didn't seem to show up on any button, so I have no idea how to run it.  Furthermore, not *all* files have this problem, so I'd need a way to filter on only files with a junk character at the end of the mp3 tag (perhaps by testing the Year or Track number tag, as those are tags that shouldn't have letters in the field).  Any ideas on how to do this?  Please help!!!!

First of all, I assume you didn't use the recommended backup option of the repair tool? If you did, you can simply restore the backed up files right away.

Otherwise, as you say, simply filter those fields you are talking about to get the correct files, and then remove all these "T":s in these by first exporting the tag contents to a list, and then importing this list with the "Tag from list" tool, removing the "T":s with the import template.

Macros will show up as buttons in the macro window. Remember that you must press the "stop recording" button once you are finished recording a macro, to be able to give the recorded macro a name and make it show up as a button.

This problem with the T:s comes from a bug having to do with Unicode encoded ID3v2 tags, which up until recently have been practically non-existent, but some program has started writing such tags so that the bug has surfaced. It will be fixed in the next beta, please stay tuned.

Magnus - Thanks for the prompt reply (and for the great software).  Alas, I did not choose the backup feature, as my collection of mp3s was too large to be backed up on my drive in its entirety.  But, I think if I follow your suggestion, I should be able to clean these tags.  Will give it a go . . .
