I'm using beta 14 and noticed what may be a bug.  I only use v2 tags, and when I attempt to write new tags the various fields in the preview window are all blank UNLESS I go into the Tagging Core Settings and put a check mark next to "Perform write operations on both tag versions when possible."  The preview window will then show me what my tags will look like, but if I actually write the new tags I'll end up with both v1 & v2 tags, so I then have to go back into the settings and uncheck the the option to write to both tag versions if I only want v2 tags written.  I don't remember this being the case with the 3.05 version of the program.  Am I missing something?

Ok, a follow up on the situation.  I didn't mention it before but I do my tagging with "Auto Tag from filenames."

I uninstalled 3.5 beta 14 and reinstalled 3.05 and preview tagged an MP3, and it showed me a complete preview of my proposed tag regardless of whether or not I had "Perform write operations on both tag versions when possible" checked.

Then I uninstalled 3.05 and reinstalled beta 14 and tried it and the preview screen was again blank like I explained in my first post unless I checked the option to tag in both v1 & v2.  I don't know if this qualifies as a bug or not, but something's not quite right.  I triple checked all my settings between the 3.05 & 3.5 and they're exactly the same.  Hopefully you can address this issue.

Just wanted to mention that this is still an issue with Beta 15.

Yes, this fix did not make it into beta 15, but hopefully it'll be in the next one. Please stay tuned.
