-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Support and Bug Reports +---Topic: Time-limited Beta Version started by gravalicious Posted by: gravalicious on Sep. 19 2008,19:55 Hi, I'm currently running Mp3 Tag Studio 3.5 (Beta 19) and whenever I now try to start it, I get an error message that it's a time-limited version and I need to upgrade to the newest version. On the download page, the one I have seems to be the newest version. Tried uninstalling and re-installing to no avail. Do I need to buy it now? Thanks. Posted by: Magnus Brading on Sep. 19 2008,22:12 You are expected to register (buy) the program if you like it and want to continue to use it after 30 days, yes. A new beta version with extended time limit will be released this weekend though. Posted by: blazotron on Sep. 20 2008,08:11 I am having the same problem, however, I have not been using the software for even a week. I tried uninstalling and installing version 3.05 with banner, but windows reports that the program crashes as soon as I try to start it (Vista Business). I tried running in admin mode, which was also unsuccessful. Thanks for the help. Posted by: Winf on Sep. 20 2008,12:48 Same for me! Working fine (last time used some weeks ago). Today expired. Downloaded all possible stuff, but after installing, always same message (expired). So if there isn't a solution quickly, I will look for a different tool... Sorry, but why should I pay now, when I was looking at the banner things the last few years... no way!!! Posted by: Perseid on Sep. 20 2008,20:18 Guys, it's a timed beta set to expire on a specific date. It has nothing to do with installing and uninstalling or registering. Posted by: blazotron on Sep. 20 2008,20:55 Even so, why do the other versions (i.e. 3.05) not work now either? Posted by: Magnus Brading on Sep. 20 2008,23:30 Version 3.05 is not compatible with Windows Vista, that's all. It will still work on all other operating systems. Posted by: Magnus Brading on Sep. 21 2008,13:18 A new beta with extended expiration time has now been released. Posted by: jbail31 on Oct. 18 2008,09:41 The software is not compatible with Vista?? That will explain why I am unable to get the program to run! I have installed the program and it appears to be running when you open the Task Mangager and yet the program window does not open. I am very happy to buy a registered version if this will solve the problem Posted by: Magnus Brading on Oct. 20 2008,16:04 The 3.5 series (beta version) should be fully compatible with Vista, did you try that one? You don't have to buy it to be able to try this version. end |
