-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Support and Bug Reports +---Topic: Searching for files that have no tags started by Music Lover Posted by: Music Lover on Oct. 02 2002,19:20 Within a folder, I have ~1000 unprocessed mp3 files. I want to seperate this folder into two folders, one that has files with tags and one that has files without tags. then I want to process the folder without tags and correct the folder that has tags. How do I do this efficiently? Thanks Posted by: Magnus Brading on Oct. 02 2002,20:16 To separate the files, do the following: Use the "Direct rename files" tool with the following templates: Expected: ---------------------CODE SAMPLE------------------- <Custom1>.mp3 ---------------------CODE SAMPLE------------------- Output (advanced mode): ---------------------CODE SAMPLE------------------- untagged<\><Custom1>.mp3 ---------------------CODE SAMPLE------------------- And activate the filter with the following settings: Tag properties --> Tag presence --> Altogether --> No tag Press execute and all the untagged files will be moved into a subfolder called "untagged". If you want help with how to do the other things ("process the folder without tags and correct the folder that has tags") you might have to be a little bit more specific though. end |
