i keep getting the same error message when i load the program
about a "Invalid Pauge Fault in MP3TAG_S.exe"

This would indicate that the installation and/or executable file of Mp3/Tag Studio has been damaged. My advice would be to uninstall it, redownload it and reinstall it.

PS.
You are not running it in some kind of virtual machine, right? This can cause problems like that too.
