I'm ripping with EAC and LAME.  It does Track# tags as "01/10" which my iPod doesn't seem to like.  I'd like to convert them to just "01" format.

The files are named as:

Track# - Title

Example:

07 - You Shook Me All Night Long

I tried to run "Auto Tag from filenames" with the settings pictured below, and it changed them all to "00" (double zeros).

It seems to work okay if I retag the Track# and Title, but I'd rather not do that, if I can avoid it.

Any suggetions?

Thanks.

How do the filenames look on the files you are trying to autotag from? With your current template you are telling the program that you have filenames like "01.mp3", "02.mp3" and so on, and since this is not the case you get zeros.

If your files have the format "01 - something else here.mp3", you should use the template "<TrackNr> - <TRASH>.mp3", and it will work fine.

Since you already seem to have the tracknumbers set in the tags (although with slashes), you can use the following even cleaner solution:

1.
Go into the global settings (from the file menu), then go to the "General tagging and renaming" section and activate the option "Ignore ID3v2 track number "slash trails".

2.
Use the "Direct tag manipulation" tool with the following single transformation:

"<TrackNr>"   ---->   "<TrackNr>"

Now all your tracknumbers will be fixed, tada. :)
end
