+---Topic: No folders from Firebird 0.7 to IE started by AlphaCroiX

Greetings,

I'm trying to convert from Firebird 0.7 bookmarks to Internet Explorer 6 favorites. I begin by opening Firebird and choosing to Manage Bookmarks from the Bookmarks menu. The bookmarks.html is saved to my webserver where I then open it with IE at another location. From IE I choose to Save as... the bookmarks.html locally. Next, I open Bookmark Converter 3.1 and choose Firebird/Phoenix bookmarks from the Bookmark source list. I browse to the bookmarks.html file I downloaded and then choose Internet Explorer favorites on the Bookmark target list. After choosing the destination subfolder and trying several sorting options, including no sorting, I click Convert. the program will process 555 bookmarks and 0 folders no matter what options I choose. I even tried different Bookmark source types (Mozilla, Netscape 6-7), but get exactly the same results. There should be quite a number of folders, but the folder objects get converted into a number URL (eg: < http://1065549348/ > used to be a folder named Computer).

Thanks,

AlphaCroiX

When you do this export operation from Firebird, does it really produce a file of the same format as the original bookmark file?

Anyway, please give me the URL to this online bookmark file of yours, and I'll take a look at it and see what I can do.

I guess I don't know how to answer your question about the format, but the URL is vousdeux.com

Thanks
end
