I'm getting the above error when trying to merge 2 IE Favorites files.  It keeps stopping @ 27% reading favorites.

I am using version 3.

Help. Thanks.

Please try version 3.2 (beta), this problem should be fixed in that version.

I keep getting the same I/O error 123 on any process involving IE Favorites. No problems with Opera or Firefox bookmarks.

I figured out the problem. There were foreign characters in a favorite name.  Deleted it and no more problem.

Yes, this is the root of the problem, but it should still work in Bookmark Converter 3.2 (beta 2). Was this the version of Bookmark Converter you were using?

If this was supposed to be fixed, it hasn't been. I just bought and downloaded the program Sunday eve, so it should be the most recent. Says v3.2 beta 2.

I just downloaded the latest from your website. I have Cyrillic in some bookmark names, and I get I/O 123 w/3.2 beta 2...

Thanks for the report. Could anyone please post a URL to a site that will get a cyrillic bookmark/favorite when bookmarking it, so I have something to reliably test this with?

I also got IO error 123.

try bookmark http://tw.yahoo.com
or http://www.doh.gov.tw/cht/index.htm

Unlike previous user.  I don't want to remove chinese charaters from my bookmarks. They are important to me. I don't want to translate every single one.

Even with the fix mentioned above, the Unicode characters wouldn't be preserved, they just wouldn't cause an error. Full Unicode output is not supported right now, sorry.

Thanks for the examples btw, I will take a look at them as soon as possible.
