I am having a problem and I'm very new to this program. One compilation that I have is composed of 500 songs.  What I want to do is to make the album tag something like 001-Artist. The second song would be 002- Different Artist. Etc. If someone could actually provide with the scripting that is needed it would be appreciated.

Thanks

What you can do is to make a new file with notepad. Put in there values 001, 002, 003, etc (without commas) beneath one another.
Save it in a location. Open TS program an go to the Tag/rename from list tab. Find the file with the browse button at the Input list option. Select tracknr from the File Row format section.
Select the review mode box and click on the execute button.
You can also define your own separator if you want. If you want an . (dot) with a space instead of the default dash you can do it there.

Hope this helps.

PS. you can use this option for more tags than track numbers!!!!!

Thanks. That is not exactly what i was wanting. I already have the track number tagged from the filename. What i want to do is to make the album title be a combination of the track number and the artist from the filename. That is where i am struggling.

Thanks

You can use the "Direct tag manipulation" tool to do this, with the following (advanced mode) template:

<TrackNr>-<Artist>    ------>    <Album>

If you don't already have the track number in the tag, import it from the filename or use the method described above first.
end
