Hi,

I've just installed the latest beta, and when I double click the mp3tag_s.exe file, it launches the Windows Installer for my Sony Ericsson phone?!?!?!

There seems to be some strange problem with Sony/Ericsson software and the most recent beta update of Mp3/Tag Studio. It is most likely due to a bug in some Sony/Ericsson shell extension, and you can read more about it here, from when it was reported by another user:

Dodgy, could you please run this small test application, and report back in this thread if the same thing happens with it for you? (that is, if it also starts your Sony application, or behaves strangely in any other way)

Hi there!
I tried your little test, and it started the SE software and showed me a file tree browser. Which apparently was a little bit strange...
I will contact SE, I also have other questions to them.

With the great help of Ville, the problem in the third-party component is now most likely pinpointed and fixed.

Dr Erik and Dodgy, please try this updated version of the small test program, and PLEASE tell me that it works completely normal now, with no side effects of other programs starting or similar. :)

Yes.
I can tell you that it works as it should.
No unwanted events going on any more.

Ok, thanks for the confirmation!

A new beta will be out shortly where this is fixed then.

Yes, the second file works just fine - sorry I've not been around to assist, been away :)
