Magnus, Bookmark Converter has been working pretty well for me.  There's just one small improvement I can suggest.

I have four desktop and two laptop PCs networked, (all of which browse with FireFox mainly)

The ability to do a live sync between LAN PCs would be really helpful.  At the moment, if I alter the bookmarks on one or more PCs, I have to do a Firefox\MozBackup on the computer with the most recent bookmark collection, then distribute the file around the network, then restore the backup to each PC.

I note that there's a Bookmark Synchronizer add-on for Firefox, but I don't really want to maintain an open link with the Foxmarks website.

Is a LAN version of BC feasible?

Cheers

As you say, there are already several Firefox extensions to do this, and combined with Bookmark Converter's browser sync feature, you can keep all your browsers' bookmarks in sync over the net, on an arbitrary number of computers.

So no, it doesn't feel worth it to re-implement this network functionality in Bookmark Converter at the moment, sorry.  :(

OK, it's your call.  But it's a shame, as BC is such a great prog in all other ways.

As I said, I won't be looking to Foxmarks for a solution, because I've no desire to create an open link between my pcs and some developer's website.

So I guess I'll just have to stick with the situation as it is now.
