I just installed MP3TS on a 1.4 GHz Pentium 4 machine with 1 gb of RAM.  The machine has it's virtual memory set at 1 gb.  The hard drive has 8gb of free space.

Whenever I try to run a batch process, such as deleting all tags, creating new tags from filenames, etc.  I get an out of memory error anywhere from 2 to 11% of the way through the priocess.

BTW - I tried to search the forums for this term, but the search function give me an error of Access Denied.

Thanks in advance,

GW

Thanks for the report about the problem with the search function, I will look into it ASAP.

About the out of memory error, this is a typical sign of a corrupted ID3v2 tag in some of your mp3 files. You must find these files in your collection, and then remove their ID3v2-tags completely (this can be done with e.g. the browse tool in Mp3/Tag Studio) and then re-tag them. Then this problem will be gone.

Thanks for the tip.

I found 2 files that were actually .wma files labeled as .mp3.

After renaming them, I had no more problems.

I had the same problem but once it worked just fine,so i was able to fix the tags of all of mine mp3s.But later i saw that I`ve made a silly mistake so i tryed to edit the tags again, but the out of memory sign was there and now i can`t edit the mp3 tags  :(
