When I use this function to only change the Genres on my tags...only the V2 tags are changed & all the V1 tags are left blank.  Why doesn't it set the V1 tag as well?

Due to the specifics of the ID3v1 specification, it is only possible to set the v1 genre to any of the exact genres that are listed in the genre drop-down box in Mp3/Tag Studio. If you try to set any other custom genre, it can only be set in the ID3v2 tag, and thus the ID3v1 tag genre field is left blank.

And I was adding non-standard categories.  That totally answers my question.  Thanks!
