I have some files which, when received, have only ID3v2 tags.  In the Browse/Edit tab there is no indication of VBR error, i.e., the length and time values are not shown in red.

After I do an Auto tag from Filename, which adds and syncs ID3v1 tags, the files are shown as having VBR errors.

Is this behavior expected?

I can send a sample file, if you wish.

Yes, this is expected. The tagging changes the size of the file, so that it no longer matches the filesize in the VBR header, which thus needs to be updated, if present.

Thank you.  Of course now I would really like to have the "scan all the files on this disk for VBR errors" funtion, since I often overlook the red numbers down in the right hand corner!
