-Brading Software Message Board +--Forum: Mp3/Tag Studio Support and Bug Reports +---Topic: Truncating title tags? started by elliot Posted by: Guest on Feb. 28 2008,23:04 Hi again, I doubt this is possible, but I will be pleasantly surprised if it is... For my radio station, I had re-tagged all my mp3s so that the title tag included not only the song name, but also the album and year. For example: <Title> -> "Songname, from the 1972 album Albumname". Now, I need to undo the damage. I could dump the tags to a text file use a Perl script or Emacs to truncate the tag back to the song title. But it would be nice if there is a way for Tag Studio to do this for me. Is there a way? Thanks!! --Elliot Posted by: Magnus Brading on Feb. 29 2008,11:08 As you say, you can do it by first exporting a list, but you don't need any external scripts to manipulate it, simply directly import the list with a suitable parsing template in Mp3/Tag Studio, and it will be fixed! You can also create a macro for it, to be able to do it with the click of a single button. Posted by: Guest on Mar. 03 2008,03:22 Got it. Thank you! end |
